Overview

The world map is unique, the journal follows the 22 chapters of the story, and characters, quests, and worlds remain consistent across games. EET also serves as a mod platform: a mod can modify BG1 and BG2 simultaneously. The PlayPadHub zip contains the guide in French and shortcuts to official downloads, with no game files.

Compatibility

Windows, macOS, and Linux: the WeiDU installer is cross‑platform (on Linux/macOS, a recent weidu and Lua are required).
All three games must be installed and up to date before starting the installation.
EET installs on top of Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition: plan for at least 2.55 GB once finished.
The installation is long and modifies thousands of files: disable antivirus and live scanners during this time.
Mods for BG1 and BG2 are installed next via the same installer, following the documented order (EET_end last).

Step-by-step installation

1. Install Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Siege of Dragonspear, and Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition, then launch each once to create their saves.
2. Download the EET repo from GitHub and copy its contents into the Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition install folder.
3. Run setup‑EET.exe from that folder and follow the WeiDU installer: point to BG:EE and Siege of Dragonspear when prompted.
4. Let the installation finish (several dozen minutes, about 2.55 GB written).
5. Launch the game with the created EET shortcut: the full campaign runs from Candlekeep to the Throne of Bhaal on a single world map.
6. Install your other EET‑compatible mods next, then finish with setup‑EET_end.exe as outlined in the official guide.

Our tips

• Follow the order: EET first, then other mods, and setup-EET_end.exe last.
• Parts of a clean BG2:EE install without mods: a clean install avoids most problems.
• Disable your antivirus during the WeiDU install: it can interrupt patching thousands of files.
• Back up your campaign before each new mod series: the unique log depends on the state of all your saves.
